Wayne Township is seeking a qualified individual to fill the full-time position of Laborer within the Road Maintenance Department.
Essential job duties include the ability to lift, carry, and move objects; take direction to perform assigned tasks; operate mechanized vehicles and equipment; work in adverse weather conditions; and to be available twenty-four (24) hours per day/ seven (7) days per week for overtime details, particularly during winter storms; work well within a group environment, outside contractors, Township residents, consultants, etc.; operate large and small trucks with either standard shift or automatic transmission; operate a variety of equipment; backhoes,
tractors, mowers, duropatcher, etc. and a variety of hand tools both powered and manual, including weed eaters, chainsaws, drills, etc. Applicant must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and prefer applicant to have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
The rate of pay is $20.00 – $23.50 per hour based on experience, with the opportunity to advance. Medical and
Dental benefits are also included in package.
