Wayne Township Residents - Thank you for Recycling!
Residents of Wayne Township, the township received a check for $480.55 for you using the recycling bins at the township. We participate in the Butler County Solid Waste Management plan. 

Wayne Township’s 2013 residential recycling tonnage was 68.65 tons which represents 5.7% of all such waste generated in our county last year. You are not only  being good stewerts of our world, but helping your township with additional funds.

There are now five free drop boxes located at the Wayne Township maintenance building (4570 Middletown-Oxford Road). This valuable service is provided by the Butler County Board of Commissioners, Butler County Department of Environmental Services, and Rumpke Recycling.

The following are acceptable items for recycling in those boxes:

  • Plastic Bottles #1 and #2 (No Lids)
  • Glass Jars and Bottles of Any Color
  • Aluminum, Steel, and Bi-Metal Cans
  • Empty Aeorsol Cans with Lids and Tips Removed
  • Brown Paper Grocery Bags
  • Paper: Mixed Office Paper, Junk Mail, Magazines, Envelopes, Newspapers and Inserts, and Telephone Books
  • Corrugated cardboard - Broken Down into 3' by 3' pieces
  • Paperboard such as cereal boxes, beverage cartons, etc.
